Account signup is available. Billing and public Host downloads are not open yet. Creating an account does not start a subscription or charge you.
Current phone connections use the host’s Wi-Fi. Cellular joining is in development. Karaoke tracks and VirtualDJ are separate.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Before you take the stage.
Does MicPassport include karaoke songs?
No. Host works with your own catalog. Karaoke tracks, purchases, and any required VirtualDJ license are separate from the planned MicPassport subscription.
Do singers need to install an app or pay?
The singer screen opens in their phone’s browser. They can join the show as a guest without a MicPassport account or Host subscription.
Can singers connect over cellular?
Not yet. The current singer connection uses the same Wi-Fi as the Host computer. Cloud show connections are the next stage of development.
Can I subscribe or download Host today?
You can create and verify a Host account now. Subscription checkout and a public installer are not available yet. The guides cover the current development setup.
What happens if the account server goes offline?
The local show and playback continue independently of the account server. Singer phones still need a connection to the Host computer on the local network.
